Explanation:
These illustrations were done for a
website project. I chose to study fashion illustration, it's history and its connection with celebrity.
I also studied the flaws in the fashion industry, such as blood diamonds, child labour and encouraging eating disorders in models.
As I was focusing on the industry I decided to draw portraits, first of celebrities who's fashion I admired, then of some well-respected fashion illustrators. Limiting the colours of the illustrators helped both save time and give them a historical air. Separating them from the more modern celebrities.
